IMPACT: 400 m2 HONEXT® BOARDS = 2.920 kg UPCYCLED INDUSTRIAL FIBRES

Upcycled Boards for Sustainable Exhibitions Stands

The designer Anna Canals chose HONEXT® Boards as a pivotal material for constructing and preserving the Garbi stand at Hygienalia 2023 in Madrid. Specifically selected as partition walls and for the top tables at the trade show, the HONEXT® Boards played a crucial role in the overall design.

The decision to use these upcycled fibreboards not only prevented 2,920 kg of industrial fibre waste from ending up in landfills but was also thoughtfully designed for easy disassembly, enabling the reuse of the HONEXT® Boards for a second edition.

The result is impeccable and spectacular, with precise execution complementing the exquisite, balanced, and elegant design. The use of HONEXT® in its raw form, contrasting with the dark details of the table tops, has created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that seamlessly blends with the monumentality of hospitality.

CASE STUDY: SUSTAINABLE MATERIAL CHOICE

The choice of HONEXT® Boards was motivated by their sustainability features, offering both aesthetic appeal and versatility for partition walls and tables. Beyond aesthetics, they made a substantial contribution to the project’s overall sustainability. The design concept aimed to create a structure that allows for easy disassembly and potential reuse in a second edition, adhering to the principles of circular design and showcasing a commitment to reducing environmental impact.

Designed by Anna Canals and executed by CREADE, this booth is an expression of the harmony between elegant, modern design, and an execution that accentuates the natural characteristics of the HONEXT® Boards.

INSTALLATION OF THE HONEXT® BOARDS

For a lightweight and easily removable partition wall application, the HONEXT® Boards can be affixed using screws or pins onto the structure. This approach is particularly suitable when the panels are primarily intended for aesthetic purposes.

If you’re installing HONEXT® Boards on a wooden structure, it is advised to use PVA glue in conjunction with screws for optimal performance. To obtain detailed instructions on working with HONEXT® Boards, please refer to the processing and installation manual.
