Honext as Decorative Wall Cladding – Stand at FERIA HÁBITAT Case Study
Greenarea is a company that connects nature and design in unique plant decorations, creating sustainable solutions that improve the quality of life and well-being in interior spaces from all over the world.
For the design of their stand at the Habitat Valencia fair, they prepared a very special space created from a holistic vision in which visitors could feel nature and its benefits on people’s health and well-being.
The Habitat Valencia Fair is one of the most prominent events in the design, furniture and decoration sector in Spain and a great opportunity to demonstrate that another way of designing our interiors is possible.

CASE STUDY: CHOICE OF HEALTHY & RECYCLED MATERIAL
The stand designed by Greenarea with the architect Anna Ferrer of CU4, based on biophilic design, immersed visitors in a sensory experience of contact with nature.
All the elements of the biophilic design were included in the space that had home automation and circadian lighting designed by the company Onok, furnishings with natural materials, ambience and sounds of nature and where you could also have a moment of tranquility, meditation or simply disconnect in its restorative room.
At the stand we also found the two latest Greenarea collections designed by Rafa Ortega, creations made with vegetation preserved on Honext boards. Without a doubt two innovative cladding solutions VARETA and ALBUFERA that were a gift for the eyes and the senses.
Converting living, leisure, educational and work spaces into allies of health and well-being is one of the premises of biophilic design and Greenarea is a company that is an expert in creating spaces where people are returned to their most natural essence.
A relationship with nature that is also evident in the choice of natural materials, recycled and recyclable elements of the stand, generating the minimum impact on our environment.
For this reason, HONEXT panels were used as decorative wall coverings and also as the basis for Rafa Ortega’s creations, the VARETA and ALBUFERA collections.
Honext is a material that comes from the waste of cellulose fibers at the end of their useful life, when their destination is landfill or incineration and through a biotechnological process it is transformed into boards that are certified as circular by design as Material health gold level by C2C , a standard that guarantees its safety for indoor use.
Thanks to the natural texture of the material, a warm and authentic finish is achieved, helping to create a functional and welcoming environment, aligned with the biophilic approach of the space.
