CASE STUDY: ACOUSTIC SOLUTIONS FOR OFFICE INTERIORS
Grupo Construcía, well-known for its circular construction approach and commitment to sustainability, chose the HONEXT® Boards to address the acoustic needs of Wallbox’s headquarters. The HONEXT® Boards are manufactured from industrial waste fibers without any resins and are certified Cradle to Cradle® Silver.
The low-density of the HONEXT® Boards facilitated their transformation into acoustic panels, effectively reducing noise, absorbing sound, and improving overall acoustics. Thanks to the versatility of the boards, they were customized and tailored to meet the specific needs of different parts of the office.
INSTALLATION OF THE HONEXT® BOARDS
Acoustic Islands:
The acoustic islands will be installed by screwing them at a distance of 5cm from the edge. The islands will be spaced 30cm apart and will be hung from the ceiling using metal profiles. The installation will involve using self-drilling metal screws of size 3.5x35mm directly into the metal profile.
Acoustic Ceiling:
For the acoustic ceiling, the same 5cm distance from the edge will be maintained, and the islands will be spaced 30cm apart. Wooden battens will be mounted to walls or ceilings, and the islands will be screwed to these battens. The screws used will be wood screws of size 3.5x35mm directly into the wooden battens.
