CASE STUDY: PRINTED PARTITION WALLS IN A TEMPORARY EXHIBITION

The conscious choice of using HONEXT® Boards added a special touch to the project. The boards were transformed into amazing honeycomb-like structures through painting, varnishing, and digital printing.

It was more than just a simple display; instead, it made you feel like you were diving into the world of bees and pollination. After the boards were processed, they were firmly attached using wooden slats and fine nails. This ensured that the display looked impressive and could be disassembled after use.

What makes this project even more remarkable is the contribution to environmental sustainability.

All the finishes applied to the HONEXT® Boards were selected for their sustainable properties, in order to allow its recycling.

The HONEXT® Boards are Circular by design, without the use of resins or toxic chemicals, making them a sustainable, and recyclable alternative to conventional construction panels.

                 PROCESSING & INSTALLATION

PROCESSING:

1. Cut to size with a table saw at 5000 rpm.

Blade: 96 tooth, composite blade

2. Painted using a spray gun. 2 layers

Product: Cetol WF 771, Black, AkzoNobel

3. Digital printing at Digiprint Center

INSTALLATION:

The boards were attached to a wooden structure using a PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) and secured with pins. PVA glue was spread evenly on the mounting area to create a solid bond between the boards and the wood. The pins were strategically placed to provide extra reinforcement. The combination of glue and pins ensured that the boards remained securely in place throughout the exhibition.
